What's a Quick learn?

Love the idea of unschooling but not quite sure how to implement it in your homeschool? Looking for an alternative to the low grade clerical work that passes for curriculum?

Quick Learns help guide students with open ended activities aimed at encouraging creativity. Each Quick Learn is designed to guide students through a short, open ended activity. These projects introduce students to new skills and software which they can choose to further explore with our longer form 'Project Files'

In this Quick Learn:

Create the an exoplanet and craft an adventure story.

The Challenge for kids:

Humans have looked to space for millennia. Space is the last truly unexplored frontier.

Grab your space suit, art supplies, imagination, and head into the unknown to discover a brand new planet all your own. Become a space explorer or astronomer and search for an exoplanet.

This challenge focuses on creating a planet orbiting around a distant star and creating an adventure story set there. 

Duration:

The recommended length for this project is 3 - 6 weeks.
