Quick Learns help guide you with open ended activities aimed at encouraging creativity. Each Quick Learn is designed to guide students through a short, open ended activity. They introduce students to new skills and software which they can choose to further explore with our longer form 'Project Files'
In this Quick Learn:
Become the ultimate local travel guide and make recommendations for your favorite locations to your audience!
The Challenge for kids:
Take inspiration from travel guides and give it a kid's perspective. Many travel guides target an adult audience. Use your expertise on the local playground, pond, or even your own backyard to tempt readers to visit the destination.
Expand your tech stack by learning graphic design skills while utilizing Canva to create your travel guide. Share your finished guide with friends and family, the Corgi Ledger Community, or other social media platforms.
Duration:
Depending on how deep your student dives into the copy, photography, and graphic design, along with their previous experience using Canva, this project should take between 1-3 weeks.
You'll get a PDF guide that leads your student through the process of creating a travel guide. Students will practice descriptive copywriting, photography, and graphic design.
